WITH reference to the Bank of Scotland closure in Lochgelly, there is a nice word called LOYALTY.

However, that, I do not think, applies to the Bank of Scotland which closes its doors on Bank Street this month.

I have been a loyal member of this branch for around 60 years after coming out of the Royal Air Force, but no I will have to go to another branch, possibly the one in Cowdenbeath.

There will be quite a lot like me who have been let down but do those run the bank care? No they don't.

I am not so bad as I have a car but what about those who will have to stand in all weathers to catch a bus.

And the question still remains, will the Cowdenbeath branch be next to close its doors sometimes in the future?

There is now nothing in Lochgelly where we can do our banking.

GEORGE GRAY,

Lochgelly.
