I WAS quite shocked by your article in last week's Times about the trouble in Cowdenbeath's Community Woodland.

It really is completely unacceptable that we have youngsters going about littering the place with cardboard from the back of the High Street shops.

But it shows quite a bit of determination for it is quite a distance between High Street and the Woodland so they seem to have an aim of some sort.

No wonder the Environmental Group members were unhappy for they spend a lot of time trying to keep aspects of Cowdenbeath in good shape so that the town does well in the Beautiful Fife awards.

Taking card and paper up to the Woodland is bad enough but following it up by stealing blue bins and burning them is even more senselessness.

You know at times the Environment Group people must wonder why they bother.

A lot of brilliant work is done by them but a small few try their best to ruin all the positive things they do.

But to give in to these sort of people would be very wrong so I hope that the enthusiasts keep on going and maybe get the gold award that I feel the town deserves. Maybe 2018 will bring it.

WOODIE,

Cowdenbeath.
