I AGREE with Maureen Kennedy's letter of November 16, especially with the disabled aspect.

I too am disabled and used to get down High Street at least three times a week.

With the lack of the No7 toilets and then changes to the buses it became impossible, even with bus timetables.

You don't know where you can get on for certain journeys and the worst part-returning home (I stay in the Woodend area).

The distance of bus stops and where going is impossible to understand. How can you get on a bus from one end of the High Street to the other?

I would like to thank Maureen at Identicat for sending me an actual map of Cowdenbeath with all the different coloured stops, along with information of the times and actual bus stops that I need.

I will use the map drawn by herself for my own personal use.

She was right, there were so many of us missing our weekly outings. We don't all have cars.

Bus company timetables we find it impossiblt to follow, so much so, you cannot work out at what side of the street your meant to stand?

So Maureen thanks again for that valuable and helpful information but especially the map, for my style of life. Why cannot Stagecoach do that?

Some people are afraid to go for the bus because they are unsure where they might end up, ie some going to Kelty or Lochgelly. Panic sets in if wanting a local ride on the bus.

The anxiety causes people to stay at home and not get down High Street . Can you imagine how much money the High Street is losing because of the bus situation and lack of disabled car parks too.

But someone like myself, alone, independent would like to get back into High Street 'knowing' I can rely on buses. Thanks to Maureen, I have so far!

But if buses and routes are changed again and again? Surely Fife Council can step in to clarify this more.

The council in general is seen to be forgetting the town of Cowdenbeath. Perhaps they forget we don't all have cars, or computers or fancy mobile phones.

Come on authorities, help by thinking of not only elderly but the disabled too. Don't forget us will you?

E McADAM,

Cowdenbeath.
