I WAS amazed by the fact that in the CFT story about the collapsed mine shaft in Ballingry that the engineer your reporter interviewed was able to give so much detail about the mine that had fallen away in the garden.
The guy seemed to know every detail about the shaft which disappeared and it really shows how effective this organisation is at dealing with emergency situations.
In areas which we have in the likes of Benarty such a happening could occur at any time so it is reassuring that the Coal Authority can tackle the issue at the drop of the hat.
