IT was interesting to read the story on your front page last week about the coloured bollards in Cowdenbeath.
Now I can understand why the local councillor is unhappy as he feels that this is something that it unnecessary.
The thing is the painted shutters that have been created over the past year have made a real difference to the High Street.
I can understand that Mr Watt is frustrated at the pace of the SUSTRANS investment in the town.
It seems a long time since that was announced and the process is taking a lot of time.
However, it was suggested in the paper that part of the reasons for the coloured bollards is to make people talk about the High Street.
Well my experience is that it has done just that.
So maybe when the work to create the better junctions and roads and pavements is complete everyone will agree it was a good idea.
BOLLARD,
Cowdenbeath.
