IN answer to several queries, mostly from ex-miners, the Wizard of Oz theme song and and video, brought out to coincide with Mrs Thatcher's demise, was called 'The Witch Is Dead'.

Moving on, walking along Kirkcaldy High Street, trying to avoid the buskers and beggars, I saw a large banner stretching all across the street which read 'Pride'. I thought nah, enough is enough, when are the LGBT brigade going to get the message that we are not really interested. Yes gays adopted the word 'Gay'.

In the dictionary the word 'Gay' means 'happy'. If they are totally happy why must they hold marches and rallies? What are they protesting against?

Now they have adopted another word 'Pride'. What about my 'Pride'. I am proud to be hetrosexual in that I am a man and like women. I am thinking about holding a march/rally for us hetrosexual people!

Seriously though all this stuff was legalised 50 years go so why is it being over emphasised today.

We get it quite widely on the telly with it creeping into all the soaps, but really who cares, I say just get on with it.

However, I don't really think we need to hear about it all the time.

I sometimes feel that they they are trying to make hetrosexual people feel they are not normal.

I remember that the name of the film 'Zorro the Gay Blade' had to be changed, but I feel that things have moved as far as they need to.

Just get on with it. Live and let live should be the maxim with everything working both ways.

BILL BISHOP,

Ballingry.
