SURELY there does not need to be any concerns over what is happening at Mossmorran.

So we had the public meeting where a pretty good turn out of people were apparently happy to sound off about the recent flaring.

At that the Scottish Environment Protection Agency quite openly said that they would investigate what happened when the recent flaring took place.

So surely for the time being at least that is enough.

However, Alex Rowley wants to quiz the Scottish Environment Minister on the topic even although she cannot get involved due to her role and the possibility of having to deal with any appeals against decisions.

I noticed in the Times's story that the Minister has assured that SEPA is prepared to carry out a full and in-depth review of everything surrounding the flaring incidents.

Surely that should be enough to satisfy everybody.

While it is bad enough that Alex Rowley keeps on going on about the issue no doubt the Mossmorran Action Group will want to get into the act.

They have been quiet recently but I would imagine that they will probably follow up Mr Rowley's move by making some calls for deeper inquiries.

To my reckoning there has been no flaring at the Mossmorran site for many weeks and everything seems to be nice and calm.

There just does not need to be any mad claims and counter claims, just let the authorities do their job and let them get to the bottom of the issue.

I am sure that SEPA will come up with all that is needed in terms of details on what has been happening and put everyone's mind at rest.

Patience is a great virtue it is often said.
