I AM very pleased that the Times has decided to run their election pages.
It is good to see the various candidates being given their chance to get their views across.
You get nothing but bluster on the television but at least through these pages for each of the constituencies covered by the paper people are given the local views of those fighting for the seat.
Without doubt this could be a very interesting election nationally and also locally.
Mind you I am not convinced that Scottish Labour is yet strong enough to persuade their former voters to come out and back them again.
But there may well be enough backing to reduce a few majorities of the sitting SNP MPs to make them that bit more winnable the next time.
I am a great believer that often national issues bombarded out by the television may have very little impact in places like Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly.
I would think that we are at a stage where it would be a major surprise if there was any change in the three CFT seats but then again you never know.
POLLER,
Cowdenbeath.
