IT is no secret that I am no supporter of Labour, however, I was heartened to see that Cllr Lesley Laird mentioned in a leaflet she put through my door that she would spend 100% of her time (in the event she is elected) working for me, which would be a big contrast to the last Labour MP for this area whose activity in Westminster was dismal to say the least.
However, Cllr Laird, listed the issues she would work on, health and social care, education, colleges, housing and apprenticeships.
I’m not sure if Cllr Laird understands devolution, but Westminster has no say over these issues in Scotland.
Maybe she should stick to the day job of representing the people of Inverkeithing and Dalgety Bay who voted for her earlier this month.
