ARE you in the grip of of Election fever? Or are you sick of it all?

Do these people (politicians) who have nothing better to do, think we, the long suffering public, have nothing better to do than turn out every couple of months to vote them into a job?

We have just had the local elections, we have two unwanted Referendums, we have a General Election that no one wanted (except the Tories) foisted upon us. The witch of the north, Ms Sturgeon, is continually threatening another Referendum on Scottish destruction (sorry independence). Lurking in the background is the puppet master and instigator, Alex Salmond.

Remember I said beware of people named after fish? Seriously though enough is enough. No one wants another Referendum or a General Election.

Some of us actually have to work for a living! If I did not have a postal vote I doubt I would bother.

Also I am a bit bewildered about the amount of councillors and MPs in the area.

I am 73 and have never met an MP. I do not know any of these councillors or candidates either except Alex Campbell.

He does not waste time sniping at other people, but just gets on with the job. So we really need as many? We will soon have an MP and a councillor for every street.

While they are busy sniping at one another, Lochgelly does not have a Post office. We, down in the boondocks have two. Is this fair? Perhaps they should concentrate on this.

On MPs, who are presiding over over yet more benefit/welfare cuts, are these the same MPs who just recently voted themselves a £7000 a year pay rise? Kept that one quite didn't they.

They (the Tories), are also threatening to do away with the triple lock on our pensions. Is this what we fought two world wars for? I would happily take part in following Referendums, one to abolish the unelected Royals, the whole kit and kaboodle; two abolish the unelected House of Lords.

Abolish foreign aid except for those in need. Is China and India in need or is it guilt money?

Lastly five abolish the Tartan Loony Party and their destructive aims. Questions for the latter, if we became independent and presumably being paid in groats (if at all) would we still have to subsidise the Royals and House of Lords.

Would we have MPs in the British Parliament? Doubt the latter.

I will not ask the obvious about the SNP financial strategy, any mention of this and they head for the hills.

BILL BISHOP,

Ballingry.
