I WOULD like to comment on your article about the new Lochore Meadows bike trail that was featured in the Times of March 23.

The article showed some family pictures of the opening of the new bike trail, but it is a pity that Mark Hood and Ali Dreyer did not bring you around the residential area of St Ronan's and Montrose Crescents where they have caused devastation to the area and caused upset and distress to the residents that have to look out of their sitting room windows every day to this bike trail.

Has anyone realised that there is nowhere in this park now that you can walk without meeting a bike?

This park used to be used by people from far and wide and also from the Benarty area, was there a vote for the Benarty community to ask them if they wanted the park to be turned into a sports and leisure facility like the residents of Montrose and St Ronan's Crescents.

They got no notification and have been told we will just have to live with it as it as it is here to stay.

We would like to thank Mary Lockhart who has done her best to help us, unlike Mark Hood who took one look at the mess in St Ronan's Gardens and said he would get back to us, but we are still waiting.

Ali Dreyer tries to arrange meetings but never has any answers we want like where are the plans, where is the environment report and who designed this track as it is quite plain they did not live in the area.

St Ronan's Residents,

Crosshill.
