I LOVED Brian Morris's photograph of the 'moon and the star'.
His star is the planet Venus which is only seen early morning and early evening.
It is never seen late at night and has often been called the 'morning star'.
A plant does not twinkle as it is reflecting light from the sun. A star's light travels, however, many light years away so you see that star's light as it was when it left the star, however, many light years ago.
One light year is six million million miles. When the star's light enters the Earth's atmosphere it is distorted and that is why it twinkles.
