YOUR article last week about the Moray Institute was a real boost for the village of Kelty.

I was so pleased when the Development Trust was set up because I really felt that the Institute would be abandoned.

If that had happened it probably would have been demolished by now.

It was interesting to see what the Moray is being used for, it certainly seems a busy place.

The people who have volunteered to serve on the Trust are people who have the Kelty community at heart.

They are made up of all age groups and are doing a good job and long may it continue.

The Moray Institute has been part of Kelty for decades and even with the new community centre up and running it s still needed to provide a home for some organisations.

Hopefully it will go from strength to strength in the coming years and more people will volunteer to join in to help.

It was also interesting that the Trustees have £2000 to distribute to local organisations so to be truthful this is a real village success story and hopefully the many strands of the facilities it can provide will grow in number.

OLD TIMER,

Kelty.
