CAN I say I fully back the people who are concerned about the loss of trees at Lochore Meadows Country Park.
No wonder the couple in St Ronan's Crescent, in Crosshill, were shocked by the way the view from their livingroom window changed.
I noticed it myself as I was heading to see someone in St Ronan's Gardens and thought 'what happened there'.
I certainly had no idea it was part of the moves to put a new mountain bike track in to the Meedies.
The fact that very few people knew of the track going down and the works were set to take place was really something that was very wrong.
I noticed last week that local councillor Mary Lockhart agreed and I hope she is successful in her bid to get what she called 'neighbour notification' as something that has to be carried out for such projects in the council's future arrangements.
The mess that was made by the work was inevitable for any project going ahead at the start of the year and it will be no cheap project repair the damage.
However, the campaigners are right to ask that the damage is repaired for it is indeed caused problems.
But the plus is that the cycle track will bring people to the area.
TRACKER,
Lochgelly.
