I AND I would imagine most Cowden fans hope that the authorities are not too harsh on young Dean Brett.
It was very brave of him to admit his failings in the gambling world in the Times last week.
He was very honest with his description of what had caused his problems and clearly anyone hit by what hit him a couple of years ago with the loss of his little daughter and then his partner was a literal double whammy.
I have seen him play many times and he, for me, has never given anything other than 100 per cent for the Blue Brazil.
Yes gambling on football was wrong and that goes without saying but he wants to put things right and hopefully the club will let him do it.
There are a lot of things being done by footballers of a much higher grade that are more questionable so the young lad should be given the chance to make amends.
BRETT FAN,
Cowdenbeath.
