IT was so pleasing to read about the successful start to the campaign to raise money to help the little Lochgelly one year-old who needs medical treatment in the United States.

Little Emma Beggs' cause is indeed one which deserves the utmost backing and to see how all age groups rallied around over two weekends was really uplifting.

Not surprisingly the senior campaigners turned up and had a great time at Torleys and the coffers were well filled to the tune of £2000 and then the kids followed up by making it a fun day with a difference which yielded over £500.

Real community involvement which must have been a major boost to the family of the wee kiddie.

The process is at a very early stage but it has certainly caught the imagination of the people of Lochgelly and things are developing well.

Over the next few weeks and months the three ladies pushing things along will be working hard to come up with more fundraising ideas and hopefully it will ensure that little Emma has the chance to beat this rare condition.

It will be certainly something that will continue to capture the imagination of the Lochgelly people and it richly deserves to do so.

DELIGHTED,

Lochgelly.
