I WAS so pleased to read about Alex Rowley and Mary Lockhart promoting the need for the progression of the insulation scheme in Ballingry.

The Cruden style of houses in Kirkland Park and Kirktoun Park have posed problems for various local authorities over the years.

Now it is a Scottish Government energy efficiency scheme which is facing difficulties.

The concrete style houses involved in this part of the project are something which have provided all sorts of problems over the years.

These latest circumstances have seen the brick style Cruden homes insulated in Navitie Park but the programme having reached a dead stop in the other two streets.

Surely the programme has to be completed though. You cannot leave a big percentage of homes untouched because of a technical issue, it is unfair on the tenants.

You cannot have part of a village upgraded and the other part left high and dry.

Even if it means that more money has to be channelled in to the project it has to be sorted for fairness.

The Cruden houses have always presented one or two problems over the years for the housing authority and tenants and this is another chapter in the story.

CRUDEN,

Lochore.
