I COMPLETELY agree with Maureen Kennedy about Cowdenbeath Town House.

But I would like to add/ suggest permanent evening lighting around the building on High Street.

And also at the War Memorial at the top of the hill at the north end of High Street.

This monument needs needs lighting and a security cameras system to keep it fresh and unsoiled by vandals, it deserved it.

With the new WWI centenary memorial restoration fund surely Cowdenbeath is eligible for it.

I noticed the bit in the Central Fife Times about the Donibristle Colliery cairn, that too should be included.

So the list is (1) the Town House and WW2 war memoorial; (2) the WW1 memorial at the top end of High Street and (3) the Donibristle Memorial should all be included.

The reason for these three is obvious, funds available and Cowdenbeath never seems to anything, and of course the memorials.

But the important points is landmarks, the WW1 memorial at the top end lit up,a the Town House lit up and CCTV; and the Donibristle cairn at the south end lit.

Hence marking the three main landmarks and extreme points.

Where in hell has all the money been going in recent years to improve Cowdenbeath High Street.

This council better get smarter soon or we will never believe a word of promise from them again.

G McDONALD,

Cowdenbeath.
