Christmas Day
Santa is coming, its that time of year,
filling us all with great Christmas cheer,
Hanging up stockings and writing our list,
Hoping and praying that nothing is missed.
All kinds of toys that talk and crawl,
A football strip, boots and a football,
Gadgets that flash and I-pads and games,
A million kins of puzzles with all kinds of names.
Tables laden with mouth watering food.
Turkey, roast tatties, sprouts and steam pud,
All the family enjoying the day,
Opening presents and watching kids play.
If only the Christmas feeling lasted all year,
Being kind to each other without any fear,
So when opening your presents please think of others,
In far off lands who are our sisters and brothers,
They have very little! so spare a though,
Thank God for what you have! for they have not.
M GIRALDAS.
