THE proposal by Hill of Beath Hawthorn that the grass area behind the east of the ground become a car park could well be the answer to the traffic congestion problems in the village.

Keirs Park has never had a car park of any real description and as the club has grown in stature over the years, the requirement for car parking has grown without any provision.

That can inevitably lead to problems on match days with fans of both sides looking to park their cars.

Meanwhile the situation at the school is equally as problematic with the narrow Main Street being very busy on normal school days in the morning and mid afternoon.

So to turn the grassed area at Swinton's Place into a car park could well be the way that these two problems can be eradicated.

There is definite need to have something done about the situation and hopefully local councillors will agree and back any proposals to create the car park behind the ground.
