A FINE facility in Cardenden should be a real example of why the villagers of Hill of Beath should support the community council's hopes of setting up a Community Asset Transfer.
The magnificent John Thomson Park in Wallsgreen Park is the sort of facility that the Hill of Beath initiative could spawn.
Our letter writer this week is strongly urging people to think about getting involved in the community council's plans for without public backing it will not happen and could be lost for good.
Hill of Beath simply does not have the ideal facilities for children to use as a play area and the developments that would be possible in and around the community centre under a CAT situation could make such a huge impact.
The meeting held last night will have examined the issue fully and hopefully there will be enough people interested in helping the community council carry this forward, it is too good a chance to miss.
