THE campaign to encourage the Cardenden community to lead the way on recycling will reach a key stage next week when a special Waste Management Workshop is being held at the Corrie Centre on Tuesday.
It is all about helping people know exactly what is supposed to go in the recycling bins each householder has.
The bottom line is that even the smallest error by the wrong item going in a bin can prove pretty costly for the council.
The hope is that these Workshops can go around all the communities under the Cowdenbeath Area Committee's umbrella and try to get as many people as possible up to speed with what is right for each bin.
It would appear there has been some amazing items appearing in the green bins, more than any other, but it would seem that some plastic items still pose questions and the Workshops are geared to helping people understand what is right and wrong.
So this is a big issue worth hundreds of thousands of pounds to Fife Council and it has to be tackled.
