AT last Cowdenbeath have a new manager in place in the shape of Gary Bollan.

Now there is no doubt that he faces a massive challenge to turn things around at Central Park but he kept Airdrie in League One after them seeming down and out and hopefully he will achieve the same with the Blue Brazil.

There is no doubt that the very young squad definitely needs some help from an auld heid or two or maybe more to help them get the consistency they need to climb away from the danger zone.

He certainly will have contacts to get people aboard and that could be crucial in the coming months.

There is two thirds of the campaign left and they have to start winning soon to avoid falling a distance behind the rest of the pack and that will be top of the new manager’s agenda.

The fans have been pretty loyal over the past 18 months as the club has lurched from crisis to crisis with still more than 300 turning up for home games despite having seen only one win this campaign.

So hopefully their loyalty will continue and more will come along to help cheer them on to survival.
