NO wonder councillors and Lochgelly Community Council are furious at the news of the delay to the new health centre project for the town.
With work now progressing quickly on The Avenue project, which will see well over 100 new houses completed in 2018 it means that Lochgelly's population will increase by several hundred.
The current health centre in David Street is under such heavy pressure with the number of people living in the town an extra few hundred is going to make things even more difficult for the doctors and staff of the centre.
Hopefully local politicians can have an influence on trying to get this project back on track as soon as possible.
