THERE was no doubt that the Rockore venture by Benarty Events Group was a major success in many ways.

The first ever music festival at Lochore Meadows Country Park attracted over 1600 on Saturday August 19 to the Meedies at a time when the weather was at its most unreliable.

The quality of the groups they managed to attract was phenomenal and the great things two of them were comprised of musicians from the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area.

The reaction of the people that went along to be part of Rockore was really positive and there is no doubt that the demand for Rockore 2018 is already very much there.

Of course such a success does not suddenly just happen.

It came about through an idea from the Events Group and then some really hard work in putting together the line-up and the infrastructure that made the Meedies' first musical festival happen, then the hard work to create the set and the clearing up afterwards.

There is not much doubt that the public wants a Rockore 2018 and the Events Group will be do everything they can to make that happen next summer.
