I DO not think anyone will have disagreed with former Cowdenbeath Area Committee chairman Mark Hood's statement last week that he feels a thorough investigation in to the running of the Urban Therapy is needed.
The Crosshill Centre based social enterprise slowly went off track after a very promising start.
It aimed to train counsellors to offer important advice to people who needed it at very affordable rates.
It received upwards of £90,000 from the Area Committee but somewhere down the line it went completely off the rails and ended up having to close the doors in February.
While a substantial part of the £90,000 was appropriately invested some of the money clearly was not and that has to be of public concern.
To ensure that future social enterprises will get backing from the local Area Committee an investigation is needed.
