LOCHGELLY man Dick Campbell is doing a fantastic job in his campaign to create a sensory garden at the new care village being created in Lumphinnans.
Having seen his own mother succumb to dementia a few years back he has seen the distress the condition can cause at the sharp end, and also the positive impact a sensory garden can have on sufferers.
His project has been all about raising £50,000 to allow such a garden be constructed in the new facility which is being constructed behind the ambulance station.
The project is making good progress and Dick is committed to getting as much of the £50,000 as he can together by the middle of the year and the his target is well within sight with some £37,000 accrued through some hard work by himself and his colleagues on the fund committee.
The April event involving former Rangers and Scotland manager Walter Smith will be a good night for those interested in football and those who are not because the comedy fun with former running star George McNeil will make it a really amusing night.
So hopefully Dick will get a full house at the BLCC in Dunfermline for the gig which will edge him close to his target.
