THERE must be a lot of ideas out there to make the £250,000 fund work to make the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area better.

The name of the campaign is 'What could make oor bit of Fife better' and it has to be said that quarter of a million pounds is quite a sum.

This is all about people being asked to make an input into how this sum of money should be spent and of course the key thing is getting people to come and give their ideas.

The Cowdenbeath project to improve the centre of the town has been making progress but this one encompasses the whole area.

What could make oor bit of Fife better was launched at three local gala occasions in Cowdenbeath, Kelty and Benarty and was welcomed by those taking part in the civic occasions.

But the key element is that the ideas of people on how this investment can be made to work.

Get involved, whether you live in Benarty, Kelty, Crossgates, Cardenden, Cowdenbeath or Lochgelly you can make a difference.

So get on line at www.oorbit-fife.org or use a stamped addressed postcard to post your ideas.

It could be something that makes a little corner of your community that little bit nicer, or a project that can totally transform a problem area.

Everything and anything can make the ticket but you have to ensure that the idea is lodged.

So get going and ensure that you get your ideas into the mix to make this ambitious project to work.
