A Cowdenbeath mum is concerned that the high number of homes being built in Leuchatsbeath will see Foulford Primary School soon be unable to cope with the number of children looking for places. Should Fife Council limit future house building in that part of town or should they consider building a new school?

"It is a tough one; the High Street isn't as busy yet there seems to be more people in Cowdenbeath. It shows how times have changed but I'm not sure what would be for the best." - Len King (71), Stenhouse Street, Cowdenbeath.

"There is plenty of land in other places so they could restrict building, but at one time in Cowdenbeath, you were allocated a school and that was it. Now people have the choice to go here there and everywhere – if it went back to the way it used to be that might help." - Pat Dackers (72), Factory Road, Cowdenbeath.

"It's the same everywhere but there are plenty of schools – Foulford, Lumphinnans, Cowdenbeath and Hill of Beath – that they could go to. There are buses to other schools so why not? No school should be overcrowded." - James Bell (80), Hillview, Cowdenbeath.

"They could make the school bigger; people need houses but there is the cost that's involved. They could expand the school but then they might have to make the high school bigger, and that costs more money." - Alex Robertson (58), Park Street, Cowdenbeath.
