LOCHGELLY Gala Day 2015 is one which will be long remembered with the event being graced with good weather and over a third of the town’s population taking part.
But the what a lot of people do not realise is that the town’s gala is all down to the work of a small group of people who really could do with some help.
The members of Lochgelly Community Development Forum are people who would be first to admit that each year they find it increasingly difficult to get everything in place.
They are mostly senior citizens who are committed to the promotion of Lochgelly in many ways and the gala is just one of their success stories.
But the help of a few more people could make all the difference to them in making the 2016 gala day another big success.
A lot of people enjoy gala day without realising what has gone into organising it but the small gala committee cannot go on for ever without, being able to get some assistance. If you enjoy the gala days in Lochgelly and would like to help call in at the Community Shop in Bank Street.
