A FLEET of buses recently departed for the Craigtoun Park St Andrews for the Fife United Inter Clubs Association 2010 annual children's gala.
On their arrival the children were given their box of goodies plus juice, fruit, crisps and there was also tea and coffee for the adults.
The Inter Clubs president informed the large turnout of children and parents that the association secretary Jim Paul had suffered a heart attack but was well on the road to recovery and forwarded his good wishes to him.
The clubs were able to hold all of their children's and adult races during the course of the day.
There were also a Gala Queen competition, a beat the goalkeeper, a five-a-side football competition and a tug of war event.
The inter clubs committee forwarded their thanks to the following clubs for attending: Valleyfield, Dunfermline British Legion, Bowhill, Rosyth Ex Servicemens, The Shelter and the Gunners.
The association president Alex Burns MBE also forwarded a special thanks to the financial assistance from various sources including Fife Council, Mr William Duncan, Tom Allan and John Parish were also thanked for their assistance on the day.
The next Inter Clubs talent contest will be held in The Shelter Club, Cardenden, on Sunday 29th August starting at 2pm.
