FIFE Councillor Mark Hood has raised concerns following the lack of progress made following the Scottish Government's Lochgelly Charrette.
The Scottish government's Charrette series ran earlier in the year in three communities in Scotland.
In a letter to Alex Neil, the Scottish Government minister for Housing and Communities, the Lochgelly and Cardenden councillor, said, "The issue that we now have is meeting the community's expectations set during the Charrette process.
"In effect the Lochgelly Charrette left us with a massive to-do list and a great deal of expectations about what is to happen next.
"The issue we now have is how to make progress on these local initiatives without any additional resources.
"The lack of progress is leading to many members of the community growing disheartened by the Charrette process."

"The lack of progress is leading to many members of the community growing disheartened by the Charrette process."
The local community is already disheartened by the Charrette process. For example there is the small store that has been heavily opposed as people are in favour of a supermarket with a much needed petrol station, yet the Charrette still opted for the small store denying our local community and surrounding areas access to a close petrol station.
Then there is the issue of the golf course which has angered local residents, and Cowdenbeath golf course members are claiming they were left in the dark, while it was proposed to steal their course for our use.
No community groups that have been very active in dealing with local planning issues were never invited to the Charrette.
The local community realised very quickly that the Lochgelly Charrette was an excercise in PR and is dubbed locally as the Lochgelly Charade.

Councillor Hood is correct to call for some kind of progress. There was a big hulabaloo
when the charrette idea was displayed throughout the press and in the town itself,
but we still await the proposed wonderful new initiatives and the local community certainly deserve them.
