TRIBUTES have poured in for a popular Cowdenbeath man who died suddenly just months before his wife was due to give birth to their first child.
Philip Lamb (35) collapsed while helping run a summer camp at Plymouth University on 28th June where he was studying to be a paramedic.
Now pregnant wife Lisa (26) will travel up from Plymouth to join friends and family who will dress brightly and pack into Cowdenbeath Bowling Club, Broad Street, on Sunday for a memorial service celebrating his life.
Parents Anne and Harry Aitken, of Cherry Place, and brother Kevin (18) are still coming to terms with his death.
Anne said, "Everybody is shocked. He was perfectly fine and just collapsed and we still don't know the cause of death yet.
"Lisa is coming up for the memorial service. She's finding it difficult. She is only 26 and he was her whole life.
"The house is full of cards, flowers and messages and there are 13 pages of tributes on Facebook for him.
"The bowling club was the only place big enough to accommodate everybody for the service and we're expecting it to be full."
Already, more than 300 people attended his funeral in Weston Mill, Plymouth, on July 12th.
