LOCHGELLY man Ben Foy successfully completed the Chris Hoy half Marathon earlier this month raising several hundred pounds for charity.
Ben had to run in attrocious weather conditions on Sunday 18th April and had to endure rain, sleet and strong winds to complete the 13 mile course.
The race began at Meadowbank Stadium in Edinburgh and finished at Musselburgh Race Course.
This was Ben's first ever attempt at at running in a half marathon and he completed the course in a very respectable time of one hour 47 minutes.
He was inspired to run for BLISS (babies born too soon, too small and too sick) by his 21 month old son Lachlan who was born six weeks premature.
Ben would like to say a special thanks to his fiancee Ashley and his family for braving the weather elements last Sunday morning and supporting him at Meadowbank and Musselburgh.
He would also like to thank everyone who sponsored him with all their donations being greatly appreciated and coming to the grand toal of £900 which will go to the BLISS charit
