THE Beath High School choirs impressed at the Fife Music Festival coming home with four trophies.

The first success came for the Senior Choir (pictured) in the Ladies Morning Music Group Quaich, against stiff opposition from other schools.

The adjudicator described the winning Beath performance as 'very emotional' and 'stunning'.

In the evening they performed in a class for Female Voice Choir and won the Festival of Music Shield where the adjudicator's comments included, 'impressive, breathtaking'; and 'such a joy to hear'. Both performances were given outstanding grades.

All members of the choir performed with great professionalism and energy at the Festival and were a credit to Beath High School.

Beath Junior Choir participated in three competitions at the Fife Festival of Music.

They won the Eric Williams Memorial Trophy in the Hymn /Religious Song section receiving positive comments from judges including, 'Confident, mature sound' and 'a very enjoyable programme'.

The choir also won the Scots Saltire Trophy where the adjudicator commented on a performance full of energy, drive and enthusiasm.

The final competition saw the Beath combination given a very good grade.
