Chairperson Ann Allan is delighted with the new computer equipment.

THE Lochgelly Centre Women's Group has received a major boost from the National Lottery Awards For All scheme.

The group, which was established in 1995, has just received a cheque for £6730 to help them develop the facilities they can offer.

The group is currently meeting at St Serf's Church Hall on a Thursday morning between 9.30 and 12.30 while the Centre is undergoing redevelopment.

The group members enjoy a whole range of of skills development on an arts and crafts theme including stained glass, card making, scrap booking and jewellery making.

The Awards for All grant now allows the group members to develop their computing skills.

Said group chairperson Ann Allan, "We have been able to buy a laptop computer and software along with a digital camera and this will greatly allow us to increase the facilities we can offer our members.

"We are all looking forward to developing our digital photography skills through this magnificent equipment and other computer skills."

Added Ann, "Our members enjoy their arts and crafts creativity and we are always looking for more ladies to join us.

"If anyone is interested in coming along they should just turn up at St Serf's Church Hall on a Thursday morning."
