LITTLE Keaghan Adamson made a dramatic entry to the world on Christmas morning.

The Lumphinnans tot arrived as mum Shelley Scott (22) was heading for Forth Park Maternity Hospital, in Kirkcaldy.

Although Shelley, Ochilview, was originally due on Christmas Eve hospital staff had seen no signs of the baby wanting to make an arrival and the expentant mum was at home.

However, in the early hours of Christmas morning Shelley felt that the baby was on the way and accompanied by mum Isabelle and footballer dad Kenny Adamson (21), the Cowdenbeath left back, she set off for Forth Park.

Isabelle, who was driving, said, "The roads were very icy so we were taking our time and a few miles short of the hospital it became clear that Keaghan was on the way.

"There was no way we were going to able to make the hospital and I suddenly found myself in the role of midwife.

"I have had three children myself but all in the safety of the maternity hospital so with the tot on the way I just had to get on with it with Kenny's help, hoping that everything would work out by the roadside.

"We were passed by an ambulance at one stage but they could not stop so it was a case of doing what we could and fortunately the youngster made a perfect arrival."

Keaghan made his appearance at twenty to five on Friday weighing in at a very healthy 6lbs 9 ounces.

Added Isabelle, "It all happened so quickly I did not have time to think but later that day I started to think of all the things that could have gone wrong.

"But then I thought everything went as well as we could have hoped for and Keaghan was perfect."

Shelley said, "I was orginally due on Christmas Eve but very little was happening then early on Christmas morning it became clear that Keaghan was wanting to arrive.

"Things moved so fast and I was lucky that mum and Kenny were able to cope. They did brilliantly to ensure the baby's safe arrival."

The way that Keaghan had arrived soon got around the dressingroom at Central Park.

Added Isabelle, "When Kenny went in for training at the weekend he was getting some ribbing from his team mates at Cowden but he took it all in the best possible way." Mum Shelley is pictured with partner Kenny with new born baby, Keaghan and son Kelvin (aged 3).
