A thief stole cash and alcohol from the Crown Inn in Kelty after forcing entry to the building on 29th July.

In a separate incident, a computer and cash was stolen from N&D Flowers in the village, following a break-in.

Police arrested a 37-year-old man following the incident at the Crown, while a 30-year-old man was charged in connection with the break-in at the village flower shop.

Both men are expected to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

Detective Inspector Colin Beattie said, "Tackling crime within our communities is an integral part of the Force Policing Plan and those who continue to break into premises or homes of whatever type are more likely to be caught now than ever before."
