Cannabis with a street value of £2000 has been seized in Ballingry following a tip-off.

Police raided a property in Malcolm Street on Tuesday, 9th June.

A 25yr old man and a 23yr old woman were arrested and will appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court on 7th July.

Sergeant Stuart Clark said, 'Based on information supplied to us by the public we asked for a drugs warrant which was granted for a house in Ballingry.

We forced entry to the property around 9.45am on Tuesday and a search of the house led to the discovery of over £2000 worth of cannabis.'

The Benarty-based sergeant said his officers are 'fully committed' to tackling drug dealers.

'I would encourage the public to continue to come forward with information. I can assure them that we will act upon their information where grounds exist,' he added.

Information can be passed to Fife Police anonymously by calling 0845 600 5702.
