LOCHGELLY Development Forum is urging people of all ages to get their outfits organised for the 2015 Gala Day fancy dress competition which will be part of the festivities on Sunday 23rd August.
Said the Forum’s Eileen McKenna, “All you budding Raptors, Brontosaurus or Palaeontologists, get your outfits ready for the event that will take place at 10.30am prior to the parade leaving the West End Park at 11.30pm.” The theme for Lochgelly Gala this year is the Jurassica Era so there are a lot of good outfits with that theme that could be achieved.
Remember if your Group, pub or club would like top put a float in the parade or become a volunteer on the day call 01592 783442 or attend the next gala meeting on Wednesday 22nd July at 6pm in the Ore Valley Business Centre.
Meanwhile gala bags priced at £1 each, containing a sausage roll, cake, biscuit, a packet of crisps and bottle of juice are on sale from the Community Shop in Bank Street, Special Occasions, Doreen’s Shop, Kooners Newsagents, The Men’s Shop, the Minto Lounge, the Old Ship, Lodge Minto 385 and the West End Bar.
