THE resurfacing of the B920 from Stationhead Road, Lochgelly, to Glencraig, from 20th July for approximately three weeks, will pose problems for drivers.

For this work to be carried out safely Fife Council will be using temporary traffic lights.

During the first week of the works, the junction at Stationhead Road and Station Road will be closed to traffic and workmen will be using a convoy system.

Works at the junction with Cartmore Industrial Estate will be carried out on Sundays and temporary traffic lights will be used to control the traffic.

Where bus stops are affected during the works, temporary bus stops will be erected outwith the works.

Said a spokesperson for the transportation Department, “Access for the Emergency Services will be maintained at all times.

“Access for local residents and businesses will be at the discretion of the Engineer and the Contractor during the works.

“We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works, we’ll try to keep disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated”.
