SENIOR Lochgelly High School pupil, Kyle Pate, demonstrated his swimming excellence at the Scottish Schools Swimming Finals in Aberdeen by landing two medals. Kyle won a gold in the 400 metre Individual Medley (a succession of swimming styles including butterfly, backstroke, breast stroke and freestyle) and a Bronze medal in the 100 metre backstroke. He is currently waiting to hear if his times have qualified him to compete in a forthcoming event in England. Scottish swimming champion and Commonwealth Gold Medalist, Ross Murdoch, (pictured with Kyle) presented the winners with their medals.
