THREE local councillors were able to enjoy the talents of Fife College students.

The Scottish National Party’s Annabelle Ewing MSP, Member of the Scottish Parliament representing Mid Scotland & Fife, attended a special meal in the Scottish Parliament when students from Fife College’s St. Brycedale Campus, in Kirkcaldy, took over the Members’ Restaurant in the Scottish Parliament.

Also part of the event were Councillors Ian Chisholm (lochgelly and Cardenden), Alistair Bain (Cowdenbeath) and Ann Bain (Lochs), who were impressed with food on offer.

Speaking afterwards, Ms Ewing said, “It was brilliant to have students from Fife College take over the kitchen in the Parliament’s Members’ Restaurant and I was delighted to be able to attend and sample the fantastic food that they produced. My fellow diners and I were served a wonderful three course meal which was rounded off with a taste of the students’ homemade tablet.

“This was a superb showcase for the chefs of the future whose talents are being brought to the fore through the training they are receiving at the college”.

The scene in the Members’ Restaurant shows Ms Ewing with some of her fellow guests as they enjoy the meal prepared by the students from Fife College, left to right, Councillor Alice McGarry, Roger Mullin, candidate for the Kirkcaldy and Cowdenbeath constituency, Ann Bain, Alistair Bain and Ian Chisholm.
