Who are your community champions?

The Dunfermline Press and Central Fife Times are the voice of the West/Central Fife community, reporting the issues that matter to you week-in, week-out for more than 150 years.

Now we’re delighted to champion our communities in a fresh, positive and exciting way – with our brand-new awards.

The awards have been established to recognise, celebrate and honour the achievements and tireless endeavours undertaken each and every day by ‘ordinary’ people in communities throughout Dunfermline and West Fife.

The ‘Community Champions’ campaign and event allows us here at the Dunfermline Press and the Central Fife Times to reach out to the hearts and minds of people in our local communities by acknowledging the courage, quiet dignity and selfless acts undertaken to enrich the lives of others.

At the awards ceremony, on 5th June in Dunfermline’s Glen Pavilion, we’ll take the opportunity to celebrate what has been an amazing year in our communities by bringing together the people who have played a vital role in the success all under one roof.

Our community champions will deservedly swap their community cause for the limelight of the stage for one night so their achievements and selfless acts can be recognised by those they help and benefit the most – the wider community of West Fife. But we need your help.

To make this happen we want to learn about your local community greats that make your street, estate, village or town thrive and want you to nominate them for an award, which you can do so on the Times website.
