PLANS have been submitted to Fife Council with the view to allowing travellers to stay on a Lochgelly site for a further five years.
Anne Marie Clarke, James Clarke and Marleen Irving, have registered two separate applications for the site at Cartmore Industrial Estate on Colquhally Road.
The plan is formally requesting the change of use from industrial land (class 5) to a temporary travellers site (retrospective) at yards 1a and 2a on the industrial estate.
Supporting documents from the two parties suggest that they want to retain use of the site for employment and also to provide accommodation for their families in static caravans.
The location is also viewed as suitable by the applicants because they have children at the local primary school.
The final date for local consultation on the plans is 18th April.
