THE Street Pastors made their presence known on the streets of Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath for the first time on Saturday, though they are still in training.
As part of the training process the CLoCK Street Pastors were on the streets of Lochgelly and Cowdenbeath on Saturday under the supervision of experienced Street Pastors from Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy.
Though not yet prepared to be out on the streets as a regular event, this was an important milestone in the process as the community looks forward to teams of people bringing a presence on the streets of people from local churches who are willing to listen and care for those in need.
Trainee Street Pastors each came back encouraged by the response of the folks they met during the evening. From the people they met came numerous questions as to what the process was all about, and likewise they were reassured of the help that was planned to be freely available to all in need.
The next supervised patrol is planned for Saturday 21st February when the trainee Street Pastors look forward to meeting with folks on the streets of the community once again.
