EXCITED children at Lochgelly South Primary School were treated to a visit from a very special bear to raise money for Children in Need.

Manager of the Cowdenbeath Greggs Bakers branch, Sandra Jones, donned the suit and paid a visit to the school to sell wristbands, headbands and key rings to raise money for the charity.

Greggs managed to raise £176.50 from the visit and Sandra, whose own son and daughter were pupils at Lochgelly South, was pleased at how much the kids enjoyed it.

“We arranged to visit the primary school last Monday to go around all the classes and let the kids meet Pudsey,” she said. “They could buy merchandise, with the money going towards Children in Need.

“Greggs at Cowdenbeath has done this for the past two years now, giving up our time to visit the school. The kids loved it, and we brought doughnuts and all the kids got one whether they had money or not!”
