A TRIO of intrepid cyclists have raised £2000 for Prostate Cancer Research with a weekend cycle marathon.

Pete Suttie, Kenny Barron and Davie Farrell cycled from Inverness to Lochgelly on Saturday and Sunday taking on a mixture of weather as they covered approximately 165 miles.

They had sun, overcast and also thundery conditions, as Lochgelly businessman Davie pointed out, “It was a right mixture and the thundery weather was quite spectacular at times with us facing intense rain for around five hours which was a real problem but we just kept on going.” The trio would like to thank their friends and families for their backing, and customers and suppliers for their kind donations and there was a special thanks to Andy Malcolm, who drove the support vehicle and provided all the food and drinks which kept the venture going.

They chose Prostate Cancer Research to be the beneficiary as the trio have had experience of knowing people who have suffered from the condition.
