AS part of their community programme Cowdenbeath Rotary Club is supporting a Beath High School pupil who is aiming to develop into a top class musician.
As a teenager Ross Bhalaj has shown tremendous quality as a trombome player and he wants to attend tuition sessions at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, in Glasgow, while at University.
Ross received £75 from the Rotary Club’s charities fund on Thursday to help him in his quest to reach the top in the music business.
He told club members that he was originally a euphonium player but the trombone was an instrument which always attracted his attention and when he was given the chance to try playing it there was no going back.
Since then has won many accolades for his expertise on the trombone and his intention is to make a major impact on the music industry.
He played a 20 minute session for the rotarians at Thursday’s meeting and everyone felt that he is, indeed, a very talented young man.
Ross is pictured receiving his cheque from club president Tom Taylor.
