PUPILS at Lochgelly High School have been preparing the planter area next to F block as a herb and vegetable garden as they sharpen up their horticultural knowledge.
The project came about following the success of the Peace Garden created last year.
They look forward to getting the first crop of potatoes in the soil and see it as a project which can give them key gardening skills. The pupils responsible for this venture have chosen gardening as their Friday elective. Long term plans include growing their own produce to use in the lifeskills programme and to enhance the options of National 1 and National 2 units.
